Who are the Autumn Kings?
In just short of 1 year of playing together, the young men have amassed a large loyal following in the Windsor/Chatham/London music scene. They played their first show at the LaSalle Strawberry Festival to thousands of people, and from there things have skyrocketed. Their first headlining show at Dominion House tavern on July 17th had walk-in traffic of 250 people that night (according to owner, Chris Mickle). Autumn Kings appeared at the Windsor Star News Cafe in July and performed original material acoustically. They headlined in The Windsor Star and subsequently in the Vancouver Sun, Edmonton Journal, and Ottawa citizen.
Autumn Kings headed to SLR-Studios near the end of summer to record a 6-song EP with producer Martin Bak. The radio-quality disc contains honest, and original material. On November 20, 2015 Autumn Kings released their CD to the world via online distribution and played a massive CD release party to approx. 300 adoring fans at Venue Music Hall in Windsor.
Autumn Kings have reached a total of over 20,000 views (Facebook + YouTube) on their first single 'Devil in Disguise' and have been featured on AM800, MIX 96.7 and 89X as starring artists.
The band was also played through the speakers at the Joe Louis Arena during a Red Wings game as part of the Motor City Music Minute.
Autumn Kings won the 88.7FM (89X) Battle of the Bands in 2015, beating out 70+ bands from Southern Ontario to Michigan. As a result, they shared the stage with MuteMath, Metric, Awolnation and rock royalty Sublime w/ Rome at the Fillmore Theatre in Detroit, MI. The band rocked a sold out crowd of 3,000+ people for "The Night 89X Stole Christmas".
MARTIN BAK"They have something really special that I think gives them an edge... on the potential of making it big."
